At mynextbottle we want to help you find wines you love without making you learn the 'language' of wine. Too many people are put off drinking wine or trying different wines because as soon as they try to talk to someone about wine they're asked a bunch of confusing questions using words like 'dry', 'fruity', 'tannins' or 'terroir'. We want to ask and answer those questions for you so you can get on with trying new wines that you like.
How do we do this? We use the power of AI differently. Our AI sommelier asks the experts on your behalf and compares their thoughts on thousands of different wines in order to find you wines that you like but you may have never tried before.
We're not mind readers though. You have to have tried one bottle of wine before, one bottle of wine that made you think “this is nice, I'd like to drink more wine like this.” If you can tell us what that bottle of wine was, hopefully it will be your gateway to a whole world of wines that you can discover and enjoy.
Unlike most AI platforms, we don't hide the fact that our AI relies on the work of human beings. All AI requires data that real people have created to make it work, whether that is words, pictures or videos, but most platforms then try and pretend that their AI magically came up with the answer on its own, rather than with the 'help' of thousands (or even millions) of professional people. Usually these people didn't agree to the fruits of their labour being used in AI tools and almost never are they paid for it.
We want to change that.
Our AI would be useless without the work of professional wine reviewers, so we want to make sure that they share in any profits made when our AI uses their reviews to get you great wine. If you're a wine professional and you want to help us get more exciting wines to more people, please get in touch.
